Tobias points towards the myth that among Americans, that math ability is inborn. I believe some people are just naturally gifted while other train and put in the hours of work to achieve success. I would like to work on my social skills. I dislike small talk and I try to avoid letting people know a lot of things about me. I am considered to the world as an introvert, someone who prefers small groups, likes quiet and keeps things relatively to themselves. I am disappointed in myself, I just know my social skills need a little work. Even though i'm not really interested into what a person says, I have to change that in order to get to know someone.
Coming to the realization that you need to be more outgoing to meet new people is a step in the right direction. Getting to know and meeting new people in college is a new experience but once you do, you won't regret it.
