Making Connections #2

Some people may give up in a second when things are going their way or they go through a life crisis. But thats where you have a chance to revaluate your life and do something about it, so things can go your way.  On July 4, 2012 I was in risk of being a diabetic and diagnosed with hypertension. I cried and cried on the way back home wondering what would happen to me, what new changes I would have to adapt to. At first I didn't care, I pretty much gave up. I thought to myself it was already to late and there would be no point in trying. I was depressed for a few days, didn't want to talk to anyone just wanted to be on my own. But after my parents were fed up with my attitude they finally gave it to me, "Why not try and do something with your life". Yes it was kinda harsh but it was my wake up call, I couldn't succumb to the disease, I forced myself to fight it.From that day till now I am a healthy teenage that has completely changed his lifestyle, and I don't regret it. The moral of this story is no matter how far you've fallen you can always force yourself to get up and keep moving forward.

  1. It's great you motivated yourself to change your diet and start exercising more and the outcome was positive. Many people would of just given up but you didn't and you changed your lifestyle for the better.
